The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers on the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency mentioned it truly is alarmed about the substantial range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area every day. The service issue designed for intervention activities a substantial influx of likely beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more sources to allow the servicing here of all customers and maximize usage of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
